Canada Expels Russian Diplomats in Solidarity with the UK

In solidarity with the United Kingdom, Canada has expelled four members of Russia’s diplomatic staff in Canada, following a nerve agent attack in Salisbury. Canada joins several other countries, including the United States and members of the European Union, in expelling Russian diplomats.

“The nerve agent attack in Salisbury, on the soil of Canada’s close partner and ally, is a despicable, heinous and reckless act, potentially endangering the lives of hundreds… Canada fervently supports the measures that the United Kingdom has taken so far and remains resolutely committed to acting in concert with its allies.” – Hon. Chrystia Freeland
