Our Government is a strong proponent of gender equity and bridging the gender gap, and we understand that investing in women creates a stronger Canada. Currently, women are disproportionately affected by economic insecurity, earning only 87 cents per dollar earned by men. Today we announced $10 million in funding for over 30 projects that address the root causes of economic insecurity for women across Canada, to ensure all Canadians get a fair chance at success.
