Minister Bardish Chagger to Adopt Kitchener-Waterloo Blood Donor Clinic for a Second Time this Year

August 24, 2017 (Waterloo Region) – The Honourable Bardish Chagger, Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, Minister of Small Business and Tourism and Member of Parliament for Waterloo has once again partnered with Canadian Blood Services to help ensure lifesaving blood products are available to hospital patients in need.

This is the second time Minister Chagger has generously adopted the Kitchener Waterloo blood donor clinic. Her first clinic adoption in February was a huge success, and she hopes to encourage more members of the communities to make this life-saving donation during the clinic on August 30th. The Minister has a goal to get 80 blood donations.

“Too many Canadians, at some point in their life, will need a blood transfusion,” said Minister Chagger. “Nationally, approximately 100,000 new blood donors will be needed to meet patient needs this year. That includes 3,000 right here in Waterloo Region. We need to come together to help achieve this goal. I encourage our community to come out over lunch on Wednesday August 30th and join me in making this life-saving donation.”

You can take part by making an appointment to Give Life at the Kitchener Waterloo blood donor clinic.
